"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. " (Acts 1:8)
This power that Jesus promised us was never about showing people how great WE are, but it was meant to demonstrate how great HE is. As sinful humans, we can be selfish and self-seeking, but the power of the Holy Spirit moves us beyond ourselves and lets us reach farther than what we could imagine on our own. God is calling us to go further. Further in love. Further in strength. Further in boldness. We've been given a gift, so why not share it?
